Not waiting.
Not asking permission.
Just building.
Growing up in South Africa, Arnu Van Jaarsveld wasn't handed a blueprint for what he was going to build. He was 16 when he started MomentumX — not because he had the resources, not because the timing was right, but because he simply couldn't afford to wait.
The thing that drives him isn't ambition in the abstract. It's the specific, uncomfortable feeling of knowing what you're capable of — and not moving toward it fast enough. That feeling became MomentumX. Then it became a luxury clothing brand. Then a music career. Then an entire vision for filmmaking that most people his age wouldn't even consider a realistic goal.
He isn't building one thing. He's building an identity — across disciplines, across industries, across every boundary most people treat as permanent. Self-improvement. Fashion. Music. Film. Each one a different medium for the same core obsession: craft things that are genuinely excellent.
The work is the point. Everything else is evidence.
